Welcome to On On Dash, which is an attractive running game. Fly through the skies, dodge spinning gears, navigate dangerous paths, and reach the end.
The playing ínstruction in On On Dash
This game was created by the game studio Greenlight, which also made Another Drink Dash. Inspired by Geometry Dash, this game also requires you to participate in an interesting adventure. The core of On On Dash gameplay lies in its character transformations. Rather than controlling the same character throughout the level, you pass through portals that introduce different movement styles. You must adapt to each form because the skills needed to navigate one section may not work in the next.
From Flying Through the Sky to Navigating Wave Paths
Your adventure begins in ship form, with blue clouds, pink stars, and Zodiac signs surrounding the route. After reaching the first wave portal, you transform into a wave character and travel through numerous green universe holes. This section shifts the focus from flying through open space to following a zigzag path through a more constrained route. The next portal turns you into a cube. You slide along long platforms and jump over individual spikes, requiring careful attention to the available space. Later, another cube section introduces high pillars and spike traps, giving you a different platform challenge before you reach the next ship portal.
Gravity Inversion, UFO Flight, and the Final Wave Section
The ball form introduces one of the game's distinctive mechanics: gravity inversion. You must repeatedly reverse gravity to avoid rotating buzzsaws and water. This changes how you approach the route, requiring you to consider your position relative to the surrounding hazards. After the ball section, you return to ship form and fly through a wide space containing fake gears, green stars, and pink stars. Passing through the UFO portal introduces another flying challenge.

As a UFO, you must maintain a straight line while avoiding rotating gears and platforms that appear suddenly. The final wave section brings the adventure back to zigzag movement. You encounter lightning effects, green blocks, and spikes along the route. An important detail is that the lightning is harmless, so you can fly through it without getting hurt. Green blocks and spikes, however, are dangerous and must be avoided.

Beautiful theme of On On Dash
The On On Dash theme develops through several distinct environments. Each setting contributes a different visual atmosphere, helping the adventure feel like a journey through changing surroundings rather than a level with one continuous background.
A Bright Opening Filled With Clouds and Stars
The first environment features blue clouds, pink stars, and Zodiac signs.

Figure 2: The theme in On On Dash
This colorful sky establishes the visual character of the opening section as you fly in ship form. The scenery provides a clear starting point for the adventure. As you move toward the first portal, the bright surroundings accompany the introduction of the game's movement mechanics. Once you transform into a wave character, the route begins to change, preparing you for a different type of challenge.
Darker Areas, Waterfalls, and Mountain Scenery
As the level progresses, the atmosphere becomes darker, with holes and waterfalls appearing along the way. The environment later changes into a beautiful landscape filled with mountains, introducing another visual contrast. Further into the adventure, stars and fake gears become part of the scenery. These elements add variety to the later sections and complement the different character forms used throughout the level. The changing environments also make it important to distinguish scenery from hazards. A visually striking object is not necessarily dangerous, just as the harmless lightning effects in the final wave section demonstrate. Recognizing the difference between decorative details and actual obstacles helps you navigate the level more confidently.
Character Design and Color Customization
Visual variety extends beyond the backgrounds. On On Dash allows you to choose from different cube, wave, ball, and ship characters and customize their colors for free. These options let you create a character appearance that suits your preferences. You can experiment with different designs while the portals continue to determine which form you use in each section. Customization gives you some control over the game's visual presentation without altering the core challenge. Your chosen colors personalize the experience, while the level's obstacles and movement mechanics remain the same.
Chilling Music in On On Dash
Music contributes to the atmosphere of On On Dash by providing a chill soundtrack throughout the adventure. While you navigate portals and avoid obstacles, the relaxed musical mood offers a contrast to the concentration needed to complete the level.
A Relaxed Soundtrack for Changing Environments
The soundtrack complements the game's visual progression. You move from a bright sky into darker surroundings, through mountain scenery, and into areas featuring stars and fake gears. The chill music provides an atmospheric element that accompanies these changes. Rather than making the soundtrack the focus of the challenge, the game uses music to support the overall experience. The main task remains navigating the route, but the music makes the journey more enjoyable as you encounter different character forms and environments.
Music and Gameplay Work Side by Side
The contrast between relaxed music and demanding movement gives On On Dash a distinctive atmosphere. You might be listening to the soundtrack while jumping over spikes, reversing gravity to avoid buzzsaws, or following a narrow zigzag path. These situations require you to stay attentive, even when the music creates a calm mood. The soundtrack complements the action without removing the need for careful movement and obstacle avoidance. For you, this means the experience combines two different qualities: a relaxed atmosphere and a level that rewards focus. Whether you are practicing a difficult section or attempting a full run in Normal Mode, the music remains part of the adventure.
